Legion, we made it!
The past few weeks have been, well, fun or fun-ish, but we've been into explosive training—developing power, speed, and efficiency in movement. Whether it was barbell speed work, or dynamic effort lifts, you've pushed past comfort zones and built a foundation for raw power.
Now, as we enter this final week of explosive training, it’s time to maximize everything we’ve worked for.
What to Expect This Week in Explosive Training
This last stretch is all about execution and intensity. You've built the movement patterns and the fast-twitch fiber recruitment, and now, we want to focus on control and precision. Focus on:
🔥 Speed-focused compound lifts – Dial in bar speed on squats, deadlifts, and presses.🔥 Contrast training – Heavy lifts paired with explosive bodyweight movements to bridge the gap between strength and power.
🔥 Refined mechanics – Less about pushing heavier loads, more about moving efficiently and powerfully.
Final Week Focus: Quality Over Quantity
One of the biggest mistakes lifters make when training for explosiveness is thinking more is better. But power output relies on recovery and efficiency. Keep these things in mind:
✔️ Every rep must be crisp and fast – No grinding reps. If speed drops, reset. ✔️ Rest matters – Quality explosive work requires full recovery between sets. Don't rush. ✔️ Mind-muscle connection – Feel the intent behind every movement. Power is not just about moving—it’s about moving with purpose.
What’s Next?
After this explosive phase, we’re transitioning into a new block—one that harnesses all this newfound power and converts it into strength gains. Expect lower reps, heavier weights, and a renewed focus on bracing, tempo, and control. I would say more, but then it's not a surprise.
But for now—finish strong. Give these last workouts your all, and trust that the work you put in now will carry into the next phase.
Takeaway

🔥 Final Thought: Strength isn’t just about lifting heavy. It’s about how efficiently you move that weight. You’ve built power—now use it. "Mr. Lloyd Miyagi"
Let’s finish strong, Legion! See you in the gym.
