Hey Lift Legion Community,
Scrolling through a fitness group this week, I came across a post from someone genuinely looking for answers in a Facebook Group:

The response? Mostly jokes, sarcasm, and ridicule—a few wrote in with useful insights, but the overwhelming response wasn’t about helping someone learn.
And that’s exactly the type of “community” we DON'T want to be. 39 Community Members decided to join in on this non-answer as well as another sarcastic response and another 39 stupid likes. You'll notice, like I did, that people that gave a serious answers had limited likes.
Real Communities Support & Foster Growth, Not Ridicule
At Lift Legion, we believe that no one should feel hesitant to ask a question. We are here to train, learn, and grow together, and that includes breaking through misconceptions and exploring the “why” behind the things we experience in training.
So, What’s the Answer?
If you’ve ever noticed a difference in performance between fasted and non-fasted training, you’re not alone—and no, you haven’t lost muscle!
✅ Training Fasted vs. Fed Can Affect Performance – When you train in a fasted state, your body has lower glycogen stores, which can lead to decreased endurance and strength output. Training fed provides immediate energy availability, often resulting in better performance.
✅ Adaptation & Variability Play a Role – Your body adapts over time. If you’ve been training fasted consistently, your body adjusts to lower energy availability. Introducing food before a session can suddenly feel like a turbo boost because your muscles have access to extra fuel.
✅ Strength Gains Don’t Vanish in One Session – Strength and muscle gain are based on progressive overload and recovery over time. One stronger session while fed doesn’t mean you’ve lost muscle while fasted—it just means your body had more resources to push through that day.
Be Part of the Right Community
At Lift Legion, we lift each other up—literally and figuratively. Whether you’re a seasoned lifter or someone just starting, your questions matter. Your learning matters.
So, ask your questions. Share your progress. Encourage each other. Because that’s what makes a strong community—not just the weights on the bar, but the people who spot you when you need it.
Ask questions. Keep learning. Seek out the people who encourage growth, not those who shut it down. That’s what real community is about. At Lift Legion, we’re all here to get stronger and support each other along the way—because iron sharpens iron, but only when it's used with purpose.
See you in the gym, fueled and ready to get stronger. 💪🔥
