Hey Lift Legion Community,

Found myself trying to write a newsletter this week and had an extreme case of writer's block. Abso-f*cking nothing came to mind, tried ChatGPT and it said come back later, I got nothing either.
For today, what I got is a question followed by an answer and then a reminder. Newsletter today is going to be short, like my height.
We've been asked this several times in the past couple weeks: "What kind of strength training phase is this? I thought this was a strength gym? Why are we doing more than just heavy lifting?" The truth is, a great strength program isn’t just about raw max effort lifts—it’s about building a complete, powerful, and resilient body. That’s why we cycle through different training phases, each designed to push your limits in a new way.
Why This Strength Training Phase Matters for YOU
If all we did was lift heavy all year long, you’d eventually hit a ceiling—or worse, break down. The best athletes in the world don’t train at max effort all the time. They cycle through different stressors to build stronger, more adaptable bodies. That’s exactly what we do at Lift Legion.
Right now, we’re in a strength endurance phase, and it can be a bear! These workouts are short, they are supposed to be hard, and they are purposely designed to push both your muscles and your lungs to the limit. This phase is all about increasing your ability to sustain effort under fatigue, which directly improves overall conditioning, muscular stamina, and mental toughness. By pushing through high-rep, short-rest training, you're developing better work capacity, strengthening connective tissues, and reinforcing motor patterns, all of which set you up for success when we transition back into heavier lifting.
Midweek Lift Reminder: Early Modified Hours for Saturday, March 8, 2025
Please note that we will have only two classes that morning: 6:30 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. Make sure to set your alarms early, get your lifts in, and start the weekend strong! If you usually hit the later sessions, plan accordingly and join us for an earlier than normal start to your Saturday.
Stay the course, trust the process, and keep showing up. Your body (and your PRs) will thank you!
See you in the gym this week, ready to crush it.
